How many Weddings have you photographed?
I have photographed over 65 weddings so far.
How many Weddings do you photograph a year?
We only take on 17 weddings per year. Therefore it is essential that you book as eairly as possible.
Do I get an album with my package?
Yes, all packages come with an album which you may upgrade if you wish.
What kind of album do I get?
We work with two album suppliers, GraphiStudio and KISS albums. These are a 'book' style with your photographs professionally printed onto smooth photographic paper and hand bound.
Will I get to see my album design before it's printed and can I change it?
Sure, you will get to see your design online and if you would like to change any part of it you may do so up to three times before it's sent off for printing.
Do I get prints with my package?
At this time, we don't offer prints as part of our standard packages, however you may add prints as an a la carte option if you wish.
Do you offer the negatives with your packages?
We don't offer negatives as part of our standard packages, but like prints, you may order this option a la carte.
How many photographs do you take on the day?
I take more than enough photographs to ensure that your album is well rounded and provides a romantic and funky story with plenty to choose from for your album.
On average how long does my order take to complete?
After your wedding day your photographs are individually hand processed.
For a 5 hour wedding this will take up to four weeks to complete and become available online for viewing. Sneak previews of the beat from the day will become available on my blog before the final gallery is online.
Albums can take up to 28 days to arrive.
Why do albums take so long to arrive?
The professional album suppliers that we use are based in overseas and the albums themselves are all hand made and designed from scratch.

If I order prints, how long do they take to arrive?
If you order prints 'as is' with no changes they will take about 2 weeks to arrive.
If you request something changed then we will estimate
the delivery times for you upon ordering, as any major changes can take time to do.
What changes or alterations can I make to my pictures?
You may request a colour images be changed to black and white, sepia or tinted. Also full retouching services ('digital plastic surgery') are available at set prices. Images shown in black & white can not be converted into colour images, although they can be sepia toned or tinted.
Do I get to choose what photographs I want to go into the album?
Your design is created using photographs that best tell your story, however you may change photographs within the design if you wish.
What do your packages contain?
Packages contain at least 5 hours photography and a professional album. We also include a complimentary engagement portrait session with all of our packages which allows us to get to know each other better.
Larger packages contain more, and the nature of these will be discussed with you at the consultation.
Do I get any discounts?
If you order over 15 prints at a time then you are entitled to a 10% discount on your order. Albums are not discounted.
Weddings that take place between Monday & Thursday are subject to a discount of £100.
We want to spend no more than £300, but all the good photographers start at £750 and up. Why is it so expensive?
Because photography is not a commodity. To make a living at photography, the artist must make at least £500+ per wedding. A professional photographer knows that their expenses and overheads, even with digital photography, are at least £500 to £1000 per wedding.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, Catkin studio carries full public liability and equipment insurance.
